U11’s Kids Cup

Each season the English Football League (EFL) organises two cup competitions for junior footballers from schools across the country, with the finals being played in the build-up to some of the biggest matches of the domestic season.

The EFL Kids Cup is one of those competitions, the other being the EFL U13 Girls Cup. The Kids Cup comprises of a six-a-side competition for U11 schoolchildren and culminates in three finals across the EFL Play-Off Final weekends in May.

We understand that the glory of appearing before a National Final is great for everyone involved. However, at every stage, there are some great prizes for schools to win, such as certificates, pennants, medals and trophies, to allow participants to remember their achievement of taking part in one of the country’s largest national football competitions.

How do we get to the Final?
Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust’s road to Wembley starts on Friday 10th November 2017 and we would love you to be involved!

The winner of our tournament will then be invited to represent Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust (YTCST) and YTFC at the English Football League’s regional finals. All travelling expenses and kit to be worn on the day will be paid for by Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust, If your team progresses through the competition, they could have the chance to play at Wembley Stadium prior to the League 2 play-off final next year.

There are thousands of professional footballers that never got to play at Wembley, so to be in with a chance of stepping onto the hallowed turf is a spectacular opportunity. Not even Pele, one of the greatest players of all time, got to play at Wembley Stadium!

How much does it cost to take part?

There are no entry fees. We believe that cost should not be a barrier to creating the next generation of football stars and supporters. Furthermore, for schools winning through to the regional finals and beyond, the EFL will help with expenses to ensure that cost does not prevent you from competing on a national level. The EFL also provides accommodation for the squad, evening meal and travel expenses for any school reaching a final at Wembley.
