Our teams have reached the midway point of the third season in the Junior Premier League.
The Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust has five age group teams, from under-12s up to under-16s, in the league with all players’ part of our development centres across Somerset.
Our coach Bob Thomas said the players were receiving praise from opposition teams for the attractive style of football.
He said: “Every season we have seen the Trust’s teams becoming more competitive and this season is no exception.
“The performances our players are putting in has been widely praised both for the style they are playing in and the results they are getting from their hard work.
“Last season, our under-14s and under-16s side both reached finals day with the under-16s only narrowly missing out on the final itself.
“The Yeovil Town Academy takes a keen interest in the work we do and regularly send people along to matches and give opportunities to progress to many players.”
Bob added that the Trust’s younger age group teams, which run from under-8s to under-11s, had shown the benefits of working at a higher level with good performances in their recent half-term fixtures.
The Trust is delighted with the progress being made by all its age group teams and the progression opportunities given to players to move through the Academy who will hopefully one day see a player come through our system to represent the Yeovil Town first-team.
We have development centres located across Somerset which hold weekly sessions to develop young players.
